The band, Caña Dulce y Caña Brava, will be playing at Deep Vellum Books on Wednesday, September 18th at 7pm (doors at 6pm). Tickets are being sold on Eventbrite for $15.

The group "Caña Dulce y Caña Brava" was born in 2008. It is a project that highlights the feminine sensitivity in music, singing and lyrics in the son jarocho, a musical genre that has historically been played by men. In 2014 they released their first album. And five years later, with a work that shows off changes, twists and mastery of their art, they burst onto the scene with Acentos. Traditional sones with new verses, because the son is not a song with fixed lyrics. The son is in the world to change at the rhythm of life, doubts and the desire to transform.
